Outdoor Learning and Adventure in Devon – Alternative Provision.

Our Alternative Provision programmes are underpinned by a youth work philosophy, we specialise in working with young people with:

• • Autistic Spectrum Condition
  • Mental Health Problems 
  • Behavioural Problems

The core principles of Youth Work are embedded within the delivery of all of our Outdoor Learning Activities. 

We believe that by building positive relationships and providing positive role models, we can foster a safe and enjoyable environment for formal and informal education to take place. Through a youth work model of facilitation and by delivering challenging and rewarding Outdoor Learning Activities we encourage active participation and achievable goal setting with young people.

Adelong practices ‘challenge by choice’ throughout all of its Outdoor Learning activities in order to enable young people to take control of their own learning and make informed decisions throughout their experience.

We will provide ongoing assessment of progress and reporting as required.
